Parking in Barcelona's LEZ, all you need to know

Driving in Barcelona means knowing the environmental rules. Here is how to reach our parking while complying with the Low Emission Zone.

What is the Barcelona LEZ?

The Low Emission Zone (LEZ) is an area of over 95 km2 that restricts the most polluting vehicles to improve air quality in the city and its metropolitan area.

Which DGT sticker do you need?

To drive in Barcelona without restrictions during LEZ hours (Monday to Friday, 7:00 to 20:00), your vehicle needs a DGT environmental label (Cero, ECO, C or B).

Foreign plates: how to register

If you visit Barcelona with a foreign-plated car, you must register your vehicle on the Barcelona Metropolitan Area (AMB) website before entering the city.

Our parking inside the LEZ

Parking Marplan is inside the LEZ. If your vehicle has the right label or authorisation, you can access without problems. Otherwise, plan your arrival outside LEZ hours (nights or weekends).

⚠️ Official notice: ZBE Rondes de Barcelona

This car park is inside the special traffic zone ZBE Rondes de Barcelona (LEZ, or ZTL in some countries). It covers more than 95 km², including Barcelona and the towns around the ring roads, and applies environmental restrictions to vehicle traffic. Please note that a booking is not an authorisation.

Monday to Friday from 7.00 to 20.00, only eco-friendly vehicles and those holding the Spanish DGT environmental sticker B or C may drive within the zone.

Vehicles registered outside Spain are not classified under the DGT environmental sticker criteria. To drive in the zone without being fined, every foreign vehicle must be registered and pay the corresponding fee.

Remember: car parks in Barcelona CANNOT authorise access to the LEZ. You must be registered.

Free cancellation with a 100% refund. If your vehicle does not meet the requirements to drive within the LEZ, or you simply change your plans, you may cancel your booking for any reason and we will refund the full amount. We have no cancellation policy: no deadlines, no penalties and no paperwork.

Frequently asked questions about Barcelona's LEZ

Hours, emission stickers, fines and how to park with no risk

What are the hours of Barcelona's Low Emission Zone?

The restrictions of the LEZ Rondes de Barcelona apply Monday to Friday on working days, from 7:00 to 20:00. Outside those hours and at weekends there is no general limit, though it is worth checking for pollution-episode alerts.

Which DGT emission sticker do I need to drive in the LEZ?

Vehicles with a C, ECO or ZERO environmental label may circulate freely. Label B vehicles face growing restrictions, and vehicles with no label cannot drive in the LEZ during restricted hours without risking a fine.

How much is the fine for driving without a sticker?

Driving in the LEZ when it is not allowed can mean a penalty of €100 or more. So if your vehicle is restricted, the safest option is to park as soon as you reach the city and move around on foot or by public transport.

I have a foreign number plate — can I drive in the LEZ?

Vehicles with a foreign plate must register on the Barcelona LEZ list to be allowed to drive. If you do not, you risk a penalty even if your car meets the requirements. Parking in a car park avoids that process for day-to-day trips.

Is your car park inside the LEZ?

Yes, we are in the Eixample, inside the LEZ. The key point is that, by leaving the car in the car park, you stop driving. You park once and move around the city with no risk of a fine.

How do I avoid LEZ fines by parking here?

Book your space, drive into the car park when you arrive in Barcelona and do not take the car out again until you leave. While it is parked it is not driving, so no infringement is possible.

✅ Free cancellation on every booking

You can cancel any booking for any reason and we refund 100% of the amount. We have no cancellation policy: no deadlines, no penalties and no paperwork. Book knowing that if your plans change, you lose nothing.
